ENGLISH THEATRE

Last Monday 20th of January 2,014 the pupils of 1st and 2nd grades went to Sala Calassanç to watch the play TRAVELLING AROUND THE WORLD. We all spent a great time and we were able to learn English by "visiting" Egypt, North America and China.

ENGLISH AND ART PROJECT NOVEMBER 2.013

This year the Project topic is PAINT. So,5th and 6th grade have decided to choose two artists and their styles: SURREALISM and IMPRESSIONISM. The artists: Salvador Dalí and Vincent Van Gogh. We have studied about their biographies and several of their main plays, trying to get inside their thoughts. Here are some samples of the students' works.

On April 10th of 2,013, the students of 3rd and 4th grade went to watch the play

Alice in Wonderland. They enjoyed it a lot a because the performance was fantastic and the visual and aural effects were impressive!

On Wednesday 13th of February the students of 1st and 2nd of Primary have gone to watch the play called FRIENDS. It has been very funny and interesting.They have learnt lots of new words and....one of our pupils, Laia Peñafiel, has won a teddy bear by answering correctly a question about one of the songs of the play. The topic of the play is:TOGETHER WE CAN GO FAR AND BE STRONGER BECAUSE WE ARE FRIENDS!

Last Monday 17th of December 5th and 6th grade students went to the theatre Sala Calassanç to watch a play called:THE HAUNTED  HOUSE.

SINOPSI

Una periodista i el seu càmera decideixen passar la nit en una antiga escola abandonada per esbrinar què hi ha de cert en els rumors que parlen de la presència de fantasmes. Allà,per sorpresa, trobaran una parella d'adolescents que també s'hi ha colat amb la mateixa intenció. Tots quatre les passaran magres quan descobreixin el terribles secrets que amaga aquell edifici.   Se'n sortiran tots?

We enjoyed very much watching the play and, many many times we were so scared!!!

ART AND ENGLISH : PROJECTE INTERDISCIPLINARI

Els alumnes de cicle superior han estat treballant en aquest projecte centrat en la fauna marina del litoral de Barcelona.
Els nens i nenes de 5è han fet un collage titolat: Jellyfish, seaweeds and other species (Meduses,algues i altres espècies).Les meduses les han realitzat amb material reciclat, concretament amb culs d'ampolles de plàstic, les algues amb goma eva i també hi han enganxat closques de petxines de veritat.

Les nenes i nens de 6è han fet un póster dibuixant i pintant els peixos i aus marines més comuns del nostre litoral, buscant informació sobre els mots en anglès i en català.

HALLOWEEN

HALLOWEEN Als països anglo-saxons se celebra la festivitat de Halloween la nit del 31 d'Octubre,el dia anterior a Tots Sants. Aquesta festa s'associa amb esperits i fantasmes. Tradicionalment els nens i nenes es disfressen de bruixes, bruixots i altres personatges de terror, es posen màscares i van per les cases fent bromes, cantant i demanant caramels, fruita o diners. A l'escola les nenes i nens de P.4 i de P.5 han confeccionat unes màscares amb forma de carabassa (pumpkin), bruixes (witches) i de bruixots (wizards) i han anat a la classe de 6è per demanar caramels tot cantant una cançó. I els alumnes de 6è, és clar, els van obsequiar amb una bosseta decorada amb motius de Halloween,amb uns quants dolços...(mmmmmmmm!!!!)

CINDERELLA

CINDERELLA

Next Wednesday 30th of May, the kids of 1st and 2nd of Primary are going to the theatre to watch another play in English. In this case the name of the play is CINDERELLA ,(also kwown as "La Ventafocs" in Catalan, and "La Cenicienta" in Spanish).This play is very funny and our children will laugh a lot because the actors and actresses are really amusing and ask the audience to interact with them on the stage. ROBIN HOOD

Tomorrow 15th of May, the students of 6th and 5th grades are going to the theatre to watch a very famous play called ROBIN HOOD. This play is organized by I.P.A. Productions, a company with a lot experience in performances for young children. I'm sure we´re going to enjoy very much watching it!

GREETINGS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD

During the second term , the students of 6th.grade have made some postcards.
There are some postcards from Australia, The U.S.A., Europe, Asia...

COLOURS

 In most of the classrooms we´ve got the colours and their names hanging on the walls. Its a good help for those pupils who have never studied English. We do the same with the numbers.
